Dear A Place For Us Ministries,

I would like to thank the board, staff, volunteers, and prayer partners for everything you’ve done for me.

For those of you that don’t know, I had a wonderful birthing experience and I safely delivered my beautiful baby girl this past May while staying at A Place For Us.

My daughter was adopted by a wonderful family that I chose and got to meet before she was born. They are very caring people and they not only love my baby but they also understand the pain and heartache that a birthmother experiences after letting go of her beloved child. When the adoptive couple heard that I had a name that I really wanted for my baby they decided that she should be given that name.

Selecting a family was very difficult and after many months of crying and being completely frustrated I finally found the right family for my baby. I have chosen to have an open adoption, which means I get to visit my child as often as I’d like over the years throughout her life. She will know that I am her birthmother and that her family was chosen especially for her.

God has worked out many things throughout my pregnancy specifically concerning the adoption of my little girl. Choosing adoption for my precious little one was and will probably forever be the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. Even though not a day goes by that I don’t think of her and miss her I know that through her adoption I was able to make sure she has a great start at life.
