SUMMARY
Residents who are seeking change; enter the program at A Place For Us and stay at our beautiful home in Greenwood, SC. The house staff on duty live on site to provide care, supervision and guidance for the residents. Girls living in the home are provided with food, shelter and other necessities free of charge during their stay. Residents contribute to the home and learn life skills by helping with chores, menu planning and cooking. Activities such as devotions and game night are also part of the routine at the home.
Residents who are pregnant will learn about both options through workbooks and classes on Adoption and Parenting. It is the goal of APFU to help girls develop the skills they need for long term success. Residents continue their formal education while in the program and the structured environment at the house and the Learning Center allow the residents to learn about budgeting, nutrition, cooking and menu planning, cleaning, parenting and adoption (if applicable), anger management, and other valuable life skills that are needed to live a fruitful life.
