LOOKING AHEAD

Regardless of whether you are a birthmother or a girl struggling with life controlling issues; APFU wants to help residents develop the skills they need for long term success. Residents continue their formal education while in the program and the structured environment at the house and the Learning Center allow the birthmothers to learn about budgeting, nutrition, cooking and menu planning, cleaning, parenting and adoption (if applicable), anger management, and other valuable life skills. APFU also provides the opportunity for the residents family or support person, as well as the birthfather (if applicable), to receive guidance and support through family meetings and other materials.

Additionally, each resident that completes the program has a graduation ceremony and a baby dedication (if applicable).
